Free Prasad at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib | | Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is the most prominent Sikh gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship, in Delhi. It is instantly recognisable by its stunning golden dome and tall flagpole. This massive gurdwara (Sikh temple) is always full of activity -- no surprise given Delhis huge Sikh population, most of whom came here as refugees from Pakistan in 1947. If you cant make it to Amritsar to see the Golden Temple, by all means come here to admire the distinctively ostentatious style of their temples. Out the door to the right a priest distributes prasad, a ritual resembling the Christian sacrament of communion: take a lump of this sugar, flour, and oil concoction with both hands, pop it into your mouth with your right hand, then rub the remaining oil into your hands.
